How To Properly Wear Your KN-95 Mask
- Clean your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitizer
- Position the respirator in your hands with the nose piece at your fingertips
- Cup the respirator in your hand allowing the headbands to hang below your hand. Place and hold the respirator under your chin with the nosepiece up.
- Adjust the top strap over your head to fit comfortably, resting near the top back of your head above your ears. Adjust the bottom strap to sit below your ears on your neckline. Be sure that the straps are not crisscrossed.
- Place your fingertips from both hands at the top of the metal nose clip. Slide fingertips down both sides of the metal strip to mold the nose area to the shape of your nose
- To check the seal of your mask, place both hands over the respirator and exhale. If you feel leakage from any side, there is not a proper seal.4
